Flag-Raising Ceremony
The second day of activities opened with the flag-raising ceremony, an important moment of national symbolism and civic reflection.
This honor was entrusted to the Littoral Region for the day’s exercise. The ceremony was commanded by TERRESTRA NANG, Regional Delegate of Youth for the Littoral, assisted during the colors by WAMBA Fabrice and EDIMO Christian, both Reserve Officers serving in the Littoral.
The ceremony once again underscored the values of discipline, patriotism, and national unity that frame the Forum’s proceedings.
Civic Minute
The Civic Minute was delivered by Isaac EKOMBE MBUA, Regional Delegate of Youth for the South-West Region.
Theme: The Role of MINJEC Staff in Organizing Public Events and Ceremonies
In his address, Mr. EKOMBE MBUA emphasized that successful events are built on careful preparation and strict respect for procedures.
He stated that:
“Every event requires sufficient preparation time to be properly organized. The preparatory phase must include the creation of committees, the drafting of official correspondence, and the development of clear Terms of Reference well in advance — not during the activity itself.”
He further stressed the importance of institutional discipline, noting that:
“Respect for instructions and guidance from the hierarchy is essential to the success of any public event.”
During the execution phase of an event, he reminded MINJEC personnel of their responsibility to ensure smooth coordination:
“MINJEC staff must ensure the proper unfolding of activities by respecting each stage as defined in the Terms of Reference and by ensuring the effective presence of all stakeholders involved.”
Finally, he highlighted the importance of post-event evaluation:
“After the event, MINJEC personnel must assess both the successes and shortcomings of the activity in order to improve future editions.”
Through this Civic Minute, MINJEC staff were reminded that professionalism, anticipation, discipline, and evaluation are key pillars in the organization of successful public events that reflect the image and credibility of the institution.
